هدفت الدراسة الكشف عن مستوى توافر مهارات التفكير البصري في كتاب الدراسات الاجتماعية للصف الثامن الأساسي في قطاع غزة- فلسطين، حيث تمثل مجتمع الدراسة في كتاب الدراسات الاجتماعية للصف الثامن الأساسي، خلال العام الدراسي (2018-2019م)، أما عينة الدراسة فكانت جميع الأشكال البصرية في الكتاب بجزأيه (الأول والثاني) وتشمل (صور ملونة، خرائط جغرافية بأنواعها المختلفة، أشكال، مخططات مفاهيمية، رسوم بيانية، جداول،..)، والتي بلغت (86) مفردة، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، صمم الباحث أداة عبارة عن قائمة بمهارات التفكير البصري، والتي ينبغي تضمينها في كتاب الدراسات الاجتماعية للصف الثامن الأساسي، ومن ثم تحويلها إلى بطاقة تحليل المحتوى، وتمَ التحقق من صدق بطاقة التحليل عن طريق صدق المحكمين، وثباتها بحساب معامل الإتفاق باستخدام معادلة هولستي (Holsti)، وقد تم إجراء المعالجات الإحصائية المطلوبة باستخدام التكرارات والنسب المئوية والمتوسطات الحسابية، وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة اهتمام كتاب الدراسات الاجتماعية للصف الثامن الأساسي بتضمين مهارات التفكير البصري بوجه عام، إلا أن تلك المهارات تفاوتت بنسبة تضمينها، حيث ضُمِنت مهارة تحليل المعلومات بمستوى عالي، أما المهارات (مهارة استنتاج المعنى- المعاني، القراءة البصرية، التمييز البصري، إدراك العلاقات المكانية، تفسير المعلومات) فقد ضُمِنت بمستوى ضعيف، واختتمت الدراسة بعدد من التوصيات والمقترحات البحثية ذات العلاقة، وإعادة النظر في المواطن الضعيفة لمهارات التفكير البصري في كتاب الدراسات الاجتماعية للصف الثامن الأساسي، وتعزيز النقاط القوية. The study aimed to reveal the level of availability of the visual thinking skills of the textbook of social studies for the eighth grade in the Gaza strip- Palestine. Where the study population represented in the textbook of social studies for the eighth grade, during the in the scholastic year (2018-2019). The sample of the study was all the visual forms in the textbook (the first and second terms), including (color images, geographic maps of various types, forms, conceptual charts, graphs, tables,…) Which amounted to (86) visual form, to achieve the goals of the study, the researcher designed tool of list of visual thinking skills which should be included in the eighth grade social studies textbook, and then converted to the content analysis card, the validity of the analysis card was verified by the sincerity of the arbitrators ,and their consistency in calculating the coefficient of agreement using Holsti equation. The required statistical treatments were performed using frequencies, percentages and arithmetic averages, the results of the study showed the interest of the book of social studies for the eighth grade basic to include the skills of visual thinking in general, but those skills varied by the inclusion, where the skill of information analysis ensured at high levels, but the skill of meaning-meanings, the skills of visual reading, visual discrimination, spatial perception, interpretation of information have been guaranteed at a low level, the study concluded with a number of related research recommendations and proposals, reviewing the weaknesses of visual thinking skills in the social studies textbook for the eighth grade, and strengthening the strong points.
