هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن تقييم مستوى شدة الاضطراب لدى أطفال طيف التوحد وفق مستوى الحاجة إلى الدعم في الأردن. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم بناء مقياس لبعدي التواصل والتفاعل الاجتماعي والسلوكيات المقيدة والتكرارية المكون من (49) فقرة، وقد تم التحقق من دلالات الصدق والثبات مناسبة له، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (150) طالبا وطالبة من ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد في مدينة عمان. وأشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى أنّ هناك فروق في النسب المئوية في جميع المستويات في بعدي التواصل الاجتماعي والسلوكيات المقيدة والتكرارية، ولصالح المستوى الثالث. كما أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في بعد التواصل الاجتماعي تبعا لمتغير الجنس، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في بعد السلوكيات المقيدة والتكرارية تبعا لمتغير الجنس، ولصالح الذكور، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى إلى متغير الفئة العمرية في بعدي التواصل الاجتماعي والسلوكيات المقيدة والتكرارية، ولصالح الفئة العمرية 5 سنوات فأكثر. This study aimed to detect the assessment of the level of severity of disorder in children with autism spectrum according to the need for support level in Jordan. To achieve the study objectives, a measure was constructed contained two dimensions: the communication and interaction social, and restrictive and repetitive behaviors, it consisted of (49) items. The significance of validity and reliability were verified. The study sample consisted of (150) male and female students with autism spectrum disorder in Amman city. The study results indicate that there are differences in percentages at all levels in the social communication and restricted and repetitive behaviors dimensions, in favor of the third level. The study results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the social communication dimension according to the gender variable, and there were statistically significant differences in the restricted and repetitive behaviors dimension according to gender variable, in favor of the males. The study results also showed that there were statistically significant differences according to age in both of dimensions, in favor of the age group 5 years and above. (Published abstract)
