هدف البحث التعرّف إلى مدى توافر مهارات التفكير الناقد في كتب الكيمياء وكتب الأنشطة، والتجارب العملية للمرحلة الثانوية في الجمهورية اليمنية، ولتحقيق ذلك تم إعداد قائمة بمؤشرات مهارات التفكير الناقد تضمنت (29) مؤشراَ موزعة على خمس مهارات رئيسة هي: مهارة الاستنتاج (5)، مهارة معرفة الافتراضات (6)، مهارة تقويم المناقشات (6)، مهارة التفسير (7)، ومهارة الاستدلال (5)، وبعد التأكد من صدق وثبات قائمة التحليل، تم استخدام أسلوب تحليل المحتوى للكتب، لمعرفة مدى التوافر للمؤشرات، وتحديد إذا كان متوافرا بصورة صريحة، أو متوافرا بصورة ضمنية، أو غير متوافر، وتم حساب النسبة المئوية للتوافر، ومن أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها البحث ما يلي: 1) توافرت مهارات التفكير الناقد في كتب الكيمياء للمرحلة الثانوية بمدى متوسط بنسبة (58.3 %). 2) توافرت مهارات التفكير الناقد في كتب الأنشطة والتجارب العملية بمدى متدنٍ بنسبة (28%). The research aimed to identify to what extent critical thinking skills are available in chemistry textbooks and textbooks of activities and practical experiments of secondary schools in Yemen. To achieve this objective, a list of critical thinking skills, which consisted of (29) indicators, was developed. They were distributed to five main skills: (5) inference skills, (6) identifying assumptions skills, (6) evaluating discussion skills, (7) interpretation skills, and deduction skills. After checking the validating and reliability of the list, the content analysis of textbooks was conducted to ascertain whether the indicators were explicitly or implicitly unavailable. Major results revealed that critical thinking skills were available in secondary school chemistry textbooks of a medium degree of (%58.3), whereas they were available in the textbooks of activities with a lower degree of (%28).
