The present study aimed at uncovering the concepts of sustainable development required in the books of social and national studies developed in the general Saudi education in light of the requirements of the national development plans in addition to knowing the estimates of the teachers of social and national studies to the extent of the importance of inclusion in those books and the proposal of a matrix of the extent and sequence of the concepts of sustainable development required in the books of social studies. The study followed the descriptive approach in both descriptive analysis and the descriptive description. The study used two tools: the content analysis card and a questionnaire for collecting data from teachers and teachers. After the instruments have achieved the characteristics of honesty and consistency required. The results of the study revealed the following results: 1) the results of the book content analysis revealed that the availability of the concepts of sustainable development varies from one stage of study to another and is not balanced and insufficient. 2) Most of the concepts of sustainable development recorded the degree of importance of "high" in the estimates of teachers and teachers of social and national studies in the study area. 3) The build a matrix and sequence the concepts of sustainable development (80) in social studies and national books of first grade till third grade of secondary.
