هدفت الدراسة لمعرفة متطلبات الاستقلال الذاتي للجامعات السعودية الناشئة من وجهة نظر أساتذة الإدارة والقيادة التربوية بالجامعات السعودية، واتبعت المنهج الوصفي، وتمثلت أداة الدراسة الميدانية باستبانة لمجتمع الدراسة الذي تكون من 71 عضو هيئة تدريس بالجامعات السعودية أجابوا على الاستبانة، وكشفت النتائج موافقة مجتمع الدراسة تطبيق الاستقلال الذاتي للجامعات السعودية بصورة كاملة، والمتضمن الاستقلال الإداري، والاستقلال الأكاديمي، والاستقلال المالي، وأوصت الدراسة بتعديل النظام الحالي للتعليم العالي والجامعات ولوائحه إلى نظام الجامعات السعودية ولوائحه، بحيث يتضمن نمط التحول إلى التنظيم الذاتي، وتكوين المجالس الحاكمة، إضافة إلى إتاحة الاستثمار للجامعات السعودية في ممتلكاتها ومواردها وتعديل الأنظمة في الوزارات الأخرى بما يحقق لها ذلك. The study aims to find out the autonomy requirements of Saudi universities arising from the viewpoints of the professors of administration and educational leadership in Saudi universities. The study followed the descriptive approach. The field Study tool was a survey of the study community. The sample consisted of 71 faculty members in Saudi universities. The results revealed the agreement of the Study Society to fully apply the autonomy of Saudi universities including administrative independence, academic independence and financial independence. The study recommended that the current system of higher education should be amended. The universities and its regulations should be transformed to the Saudi University system with its regulations that include the pattern of transition to self-regulation and the formation of governing councils. The study also recommended investments to be available in Saudi universities with their property and resources, and to modify the necessary regulations in other ministries to do so.
