The aim of the research was to identify the degree of psychological tension among students of physical education and sports sciences, and to prepare an educational curriculum to learn some basic skills of volleyball among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. It also aims at identifying the educational curriculum in learning some basic skills in volleyball, and reducing the psychological tension among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The researchers used the experimental method for its convenience to the nature of the research. The research community was selected from the students of the second stage of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences-University of Anbar for the academic year (2015-2016) in a deliberate manner for they were in the learning stage, and they were distributed to two divisions (A-B) with (32) students. The researchers concluded that the proposed curriculum by the helping educational means has an effective effect on developing some basic skills in volleyball among students of the experimental group, and that the lesson of sports education followed by the college achieved a development in some basic skills of volleyball among the students of the controlling group but less than the experimental group. The students of the experimental group surpassed the students of the controlling group in the post-test in some basic skills of volleyball. They also concluded that the followed approach by using the educational means helped to reduce the psychological tension of the experimental group. The researchers recommended the need to use the educational means in the lesson of sports education because of their positive effect on learning and reducing the psychological tension with activating the use of the proposed educational approach in teaching some basic skills of volleyball for students of the second stage at the colleges of physical education and sports science because of its positive impact.
