يتسم عالمنا المعاصر اليوم بالتطورات السريعة في شتى مجالات العلوم المختلفة الامر الذي دعا المهتمين بالمجالات التربوية كي يسعو إلى إعداد اجيال قادرة على مواجهة هذه التطورات. وما يطرأ عليها في المستقبل من احتمالات يصعب التنبؤ بها والتربية الرياضية هي إحدى هذه المجالات المهمة التي تهتم بالتطورات الحاصلة على الاصعدة العلمية والتي تحتاج الى استخدام اساليب حديثة ومتنوعة في عملية التعليم والتدريب، ويعتبر التدريس المصغر أحد الاتجاهات الحديثة والمعاصرة في اعداد الطلاب وتدريبهم كأحد الاساليب المستخدمة للتغلب على نقاط ضعف الاساليب التقليدية في اعداد وتعليم الطلاب. وتعد لعبة كرة اليد من الألعاب الفرقية التي تحتاج في أدائها المهاري الى اجادة جميع انواع المهارات. وانطلاقا ً من أهمية هذا الموضوع فقد ازداد اهتمام الباحثين والعاملين في مجال كرة اليد الى إيجاد طرق وأساليب حديثة لتسهيل عملية تعلم تلك المهارات بسهولة وبدقة عالية في الأداء. من هنا جاءت أهمية البحث في التعرف على تأثير اسلوب التدريس المصغر في تعليم وتطوير تلك المهارات .(الملخص المنشور)
