This research deal with the form notion in the design of theatrical costume design for child , for age ( 9-12)year . It is including four chapters, the first chapter was divided into (theoretical frame) to (problem of research, its importance and purpose, its borders, and extension of terms). The problem of the research were abstracted in answering about following question: (What is the form notion in design of theatrical costume design for child) the importance of research appear that it benefits all the interested for the techniques of theatrical proffer, especially the costumes, and the interested for the theater of Iraqi child's art and educational institutions of theater for child has relating with it . This research has aim as: recognition on the form notion in theatrical costume design. The second chapter included (theoretical frame) as dealing two researches: The first was included: a study of children's costumes as historically, but the second research was divided to two subjects, first to study of form notion, the second: indications of form at costume design. The third research deal with the study of apperception, and form of child's costume, then ended by the indicated. The third chapter specialize by the research procedures that was included (research society, research sample, research method, and research tool), then the sample analysis. The fourth chapter was included the research results, and conclusions. The some conclusions that the researcher reached it as following: 1) The calligraphy appear at the form of animal, vegetable, changeable (imaginary) as the created form from imagination of the designer, which has effect on child's imitation 2) there are many effects has aesthetic and professional symbol as help to stopping of child attention for the designing form for the costume. Important conclusions : There is a difference of basis role and designing elements (calligraphy, color, touch, and light-line values), that work on the visual preparation and resulting from the final form of crossing the play aim The chapter ended with a list of resources.
