هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن أثر استخدام دورة التقصي الثنائية في اكتساب المفاهيم العلمية ومهارات التفكير الناقد لدى طلبة الصف السادس الأساسي في قصبة المفرق، واستخدمت الباحثة المنهج شبه التجريبي. وقد تم اختيار عينة الدراسة بالطريقة القصدية، بلغ عددها (61) طالبة من طالبات الصف السادس الأساسي، مقسمة إلى مجموعتين: المجموعة التجريبية (30) طالبة درسوا باستخدام دورة التقصي الثنائية، والمجموعة الضابطة (31) طالبة درسوا بالطريقة الاعتيادية. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة قامت الباحثة بإعداد أدوات الدراسة وهي اختبار اكتساب المفاهيم العلمية واختبار مهارات التفكير الناقد، ودليل للمعلم يساعد في تدريس الوحدة وفق طريقة التقصي الثنائية. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فرق دال إحصائياً بين متوسطي درجات الطالبات في مجموعتي الدراسة على اختبار اكتساب المفاهيم العلمية لصالح الطالبات اللواتي درسن بالطريقة التجريبية. كما توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود فرق دال إحصائياً بين متوسطي درجات الطالبات في اختبار مهارات التفكير الناقد لصالح أفراد المجموعة التجريبية. This study aimed to investigate the effect of using the Couple Inquiry cycle in acquiring the basic sixth grade students' scientific concepts and the development of their critical thinking in science skills in Jordan. The researcher used the quasi-experimental design. The sample of the study was selected purposefully. The number of the participants was 61 female students from the basic sixth. They were divided into two groups: the experimental group (30 student) which studied using the Couple Inquiry cycle, and the control group (31 students) which studied in the usual way. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher designed a study instrument which tested acquiring scientific concepts and the critical thinking skills. She also prepared a teacher's guide to help in the teaching of the units in accordance with the Couple Inquiry cycle method. The results showed the presence of a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the students in the acquisition of scientific concepts in favor of students who studied in the experimental method. The study also found a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of student in critical thinking skills in favor of the experimental group. (Published abstract)
