The aim of the study is to develop a strategy for management of administrative crises in Kuwaiti higher education institutions in light of the strategic leadership standards for 2018, by identifying the reality of administrative crisis management in universities. A descriptive developmental method was used. The study sample consisted of 369 members of the faculty who were randomly selected from those who held management positions or worked in Kuwaiti higher education institutions. A questionnaire consisted of 30 items divided into three domains: before the crisis, how to deal with the crisis, and the choice of strategy was used to collect data. The study proposed a strategy for the management of administrative crises in Kuwaiti higher education institutions according to the strategic leadership standards. The researcher recommended the need to strengthen the efforts of educational and administrative leaders in the institutions of higher education in order to develop administrative crisis management policies and systems, and to spread the culture of crisis management to organizational structures, and to adopt the principle of training and continuing education for leaders and employees of Kuwaiti higher education institutions to acquire the skills of crisis management.
