The study aimed at verifying the effectiveness of a program based on some active learning strategies (peer education, cooperative learning, discussion and dialogue) in developing some of the competencies of scientific research among the students of Faculty of education, Jazan University Saudi Arabia 2018/2019, who received low grades on the scale of the competencies of writing the scientific research and who have the desire to master these skills, The sample consisted of (44) students were divided into two groups: experimental group and the other control group with (22) students per group. The study tools consisted of the competencies of writing educational scientific research, and a training program based on some active learning strategies to develop some competencies of scientific research. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group, which indicates the effectiveness of active learning strategies (peer teaching - cooperative learning - discussion and dialogue) in the development of some competencies of scientific research, in the light of the results the researchers recommended that intensive interest in training programs for undergraduate students should be given to develop research skills and scientific writing.
