هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن واقع متطلبات الاعتماد وضمان الجودة، في كلية العلوم الاجتماعية، ومن ثم اقتراح أهم المتطلبات التي ينبغي توافرها لتهيئة كلية العلوم الاجتماعية لتطبيق الاعتماد وضمان الجودة، من خلال آراء عينة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الكلية بلغت (72) عضوا، عن طريق استبانة اشتملت على (128) عبارة. أهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة: أن واقع متطلبات الاعتماد وضمان الجودة في الكلية، متوفر بدرجة متوسطة، وأن مجال (إدارة الكلية المتميزة) متوفر بدرجة كبيرة، وأن مجال (تحقيق التعاون والمشاركة المجتمعية) متدنيا مقارنة بمتوسط غيره من مجالات، وأن الصعوبات التي تواجه تطبيق الاعتماد وضمان الجودة في الكلية تقع في فئة الموافقة بدرجة متوسطة، وأن أعلى الصعوبات المتوفرة بدرجة كبيرة (ضعف التحديد الواضح والدقيق لمعايير الاعتماد)، و(انخفاض مشاركة أعضاء هيئة التدريس بالكلية في صنع القرارات). وقد تم التوصل إلى ثمانية معايير كمتطلبات ينبغي توافرها لتطبيق الاعتماد وضمان الجودة في الكلية تشتمل على عدد من المؤشرات، مع متطلبات لتحقيق كل معيار. The objective of this study is to reveal the reality of the requirements of accreditation and quality control at the college of Social Sciences and to propose the important requirements that must be obtained to prepare the College of Social Sciences for its application for accreditation and quality control. A questionnaire consisting of (128) phrases was administered to a sample of (72) teaching staff members at the college to elicit their views. The study has shown that the requirements of accreditation and quality control at the college in general, are available to a moderate degree. They are present in the field of [outstanding college administration] to a high degree; but in the field of [achieving cooperation and community participation] they are available to a low degree compared with other averages of the fields. Also, difficulties that face the application for accreditation and quality control at the college are moderate. The most significant difficulties are the lack of a clear and accurate definition of accreditation standards, as well as a decrease in the participation of the college teaching staff members in decision-making. The study has come out with eight standards as requirements that must be present in order to apply accreditation and quality control at the college. They consist of a number of indicators associated with requirements to meet each standard. (Published abstract)
