The aim of the study was to explore the reasons for the reluctance of the students in Wadi Bani Kharous Basic Education School in the Sultanate of Oman to participate in the school broadcasting from the perspective of the students themselves and to explore the role of the variables of the study (grade, living level, and achievement level) on the reluctance to participate using a descriptive research design. A questionnaire was constructed to measure the reasons for the students' reluctance to participate in the school broadcasting from the perspective of the students themselves. The sample consisted of 121 students representing all students in the tenth and eleventh grades in the school. The results of the study showed that the reasons for the reluctance of students to participate in the school broadcasting were moderate. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.05) between the averages of the reluctance of the students in participating in the school broadcasting due to the study variables (grades and living level). The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) with respect to the level of achievement on the averages of the reluctance of the students in participating in the school broadcasting in relation to the school administration, student's personality and surrounding environment.
