From the perspective of King Saud University academic leaders. The study was aimed to identify the required university skills for common first year students. The study sample consisted of 48 academic leaders from King Saud University and in order to achieve the purpose of the study a descriptive analytical method was used by the researcher, also college skills questionnaires was used and linked to the research sample. The research results showed that the essential university skills for common first year students from the perspective of King Saud University academic leaders concentrated in 8 major skills: information search fields from its sources, time management, scientific research writing techniques, elements of scientific research writing and its skills, data processing, creative thinking, motivation to learn and design of scientific research tools.
