The story is an important source of teaching and learning. Studies have shown the importance of the story in the educational process and in giving children different experiences and different skills. The aim of the current research (folk stories and their effect on the development of imagination in children of primary stage in artistic expression). The first study included the problem of research, which summarized (what is the effect of the popular story in the development of imagination in children?) And also included the importance of research and need and then the objectives of research and the second section includes the conceptual framework of the research divided into three topics dealing with the first topic (the story's authors, the methods of narration and its types, and the role of the educational story). The second topic included the concept of imagination and classification of developmental stages. The third chapter included the research procedures of the research society which reached (78) students and the use of the experimental method and the use of the statistical means (Person correlation coefficient) and the final test to reach the results. The fourth chapter also included the results of the research, conclusions. (Published Abstract)
