The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a program based on the use of smart phone in the development of written expression skills of students in the fourth grade. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher used the experimental method based on the design of the experimental and control groups with a pre-tribal measurement. The sample consisted of (66) Fourth grade students at Dar Al-Arqam Primary School for boys, where the school was chosen deliberately, and the sample was randomly divided into two groups, the experimental group studied through a program based on employing the smartphone number (33) Iva, and the control group which studied in the usual way, and the number (33) students, and data collection, the researcher set up a test to measure the written expression skills represented in the following skills: Expressing an image, expressing a position in a meaningful sentence, choosing the appropriate word for the intended meaning, arranging words to form a useful sentence, using the correct link between words, arranging sentences to form a story. The study found the following results: 1) There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05≥ α) between the mean scores of the control and experimental groups in the test of post-writing skills attributed to the proposed program. 2)There were statistically significant differences at (0.01≥α) between the experimental group's average scores in the tribal and post-application to test the written expression skills in each of the main skills of the written expression and in the overall score of the test for the post application. 3) The proposed program, based on the use of the smart phone, achieved an efficiency in the development of written expression skills in the sample of the study. Among the study's recommendations: The need to identify types of applications and technologies for smart phones that can provide benefits to the process of education, and dissemination to teachers, and take advantage of smart phone techniques in teaching Arabic language in general and teaching written expression in particular for classes and stages, while working on the production of educational software based on the employment of phones To improve the level of pupils in Arabic and other subjects, to focus on written expression skills and to guide teachers towards their development methods; to empower students and improve their expressive performance.
