The current study examined the effect of using a proposed strategy based on the cognitive oriented approach to develop basic creative thinking skills (fluency, flexibility and originality). The sample consisted of (50) female students from the College of Education, Shakra University, divided into two experimental and control groups: the researcher used the scale of Sayed Mohammed Khairallah to measure the ability of creative thinking before and after the implementation of the proposed meta-strategy. The data were statistically analyzed using descriptive statistics and T test for independent and interrelated samples. The researcher reached the following results: statistical significance between the two experimental and control groups in the components of creative thinking in the post-application in favor of the experimental group, and the existence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in the tribal and remote applications of the components of creative thinking in favor of the post-application. Previous studies and characteristics of the sample and the nature of measuring tools used and strategy beyond knowledge. (Published Abstract)
