Brain-based learning is one of the most promising trends and subjects of interest in the scientific, academic and educational world. The brain is responsible for both language production and understanding; it analyses language effectively. The knowledge of the mechanism of the brain helps to provide learners with knowledge and language skills, and the completion of tasks accurately and easily. Therefore, the teacher should use the learning on both sides of the brain and instructional strategies that activate the uncontrolled part of the brain in order to raise the level of performance of learners and stimulate their thinking. In order for the Arabic language to achieve the objectives of teaching creative writing, the teacher needs to develop the teaching methods used so that he can develop his skills and achieve creative results for his students. The objective of the current study was to identify the effectiveness of a program based on brain-based learning to develop the creative writing skills of high-grade students in the sixth grade. The study used the quasi-experimental; an experimental design of one group (26 primary school pupils) and pre-post test. To achieve the goal of the study, a list of creative writing skills, a program based on brain-based learning, and a teacher's guide were developed to measure the effectiveness of the program in developing creative writing skills of linguistically brilliant pupils. A writing skills test was prepared, validated to be applied. By applying the experiment, the results showed statistically significant differences at a statistical significance level (α≤0,05) between the mean scores of the experimental group's grades in the pre-post application of the test in the whole creative writing and their skills separately in favour of post-application. This confirms that the program was effective in empowering the experimental group's creative writing skills as a whole, and each sub-skill separately. (Published Abstract)
