The pedagogical accompaniment as a form of academic guidance at the university :a proposed training program to train university professors on pedagogic accompaniment [Article]
As the pedagogic accompaniment is one of the most important tasks assigned to the university professor as a form of academic guidance for the university student, which aims to ensure the student academically, psychologically and socially. Because it was first task associated with LMD system, through which teachers expressed their urgent need for training, the researchers aimed to identify the most important training needs of the university professor in the field of pedagogic accompaniment. The pedagogy meets those needs. The study was based on the descriptive approach and on the interview as a tool for data collection from a sample of 65 teachers from the Faculty of Arts and Languages and Social and Human Sciences at Al-Arabi bin Mehidi University. The topics of the training needs were arranged according to their normal importance. They were as follows: What and objectives of the pedagogic accompaniment, Communication skills to help students, Problem resolving abilities related to students, Skills of dealing with students, Procedures for the integration of first year students, Motivation skills of the student, assessment of the personal side of the student, writing the periodic report on the accompaniment.
