The present research aims at: 1) Building a Problem-Solving Scale for the Students of Psychological Counseling. 2) Identifying the differences according to the variables of social kind (males-females) and study stage (first, second, third, fourth). The research is confined to the students of the Department of Psychological Counseling at the University of Basrah/College of Education for Human Sciences at Basrah province. The scale of the study was applied on 150 male and female students. The obtained data was analyzed by the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results showed that the students of the Department of Psychological Counseling do have an average problem-solving skill and that there are statistically significant differences between the two variables of social kind and study stage.
