The present research aims at identifying the aspects of shyness encountered by first year students at the college of education according to the variable of sex. The research community included 813 male and female students of the colleges of Education for human and pure sciences. A random sample of was used. The researcher used the following statistical methods to achieve the objectives of the research: T-test one sample, T-test two equivalent samples and Pearson correlative factor. The research concluded that: 1) There is shyness among the students of the colleges of Education for human and pure sciences. 2) Female students suffer from shyness greater than their male colleagues.
