The current research aimed to answer the following questions: 1) What is the level of the First Order of Cognitive Holding Power among the students of university. 2) What is the level of the Second Order of Cognitive Holding Power level among the students of university. 3) Do the gender and the specialization variables have an impact on the cognitive Holding power of the students of university? Therefore the results showed that the research sample possessed an acceptable level of the First Order of Cognitive Holding Power as well as it has an acceptable level of the Second Order of Cognitive Holding Power. The results of the analysis of variance showed that there is no interaction between the gender and the specialization variables in the degrees of the cognitive holding power as well as there is no statistically significant difference in the cognitive holding power among university students according to the specialization variable (scientific - human). The results showed that there is a statistically significant difference in the cognitive holding power according to the gender variable. (Published abstract)
