The present study aims at: 1) Identify the extent to which the students of the faculty of basic education have measure of motivation for achievement. 2) There was no statistically significant difference (0.05) between the scores of students in the motivation scale for achievement according to gender variable. 3) Identify the extent to which the students of the faculty of basic education have a measure of anxiety from shock. 4) There was no statistically significant difference (0.05) between the scores of students on the scale of anxiety according to gender variable. 5) To find the relationship between the measure of motivation for achievement and the anxiety of trauma among students of the faculty of basic education. The population of the present study was (3642) students of Diyala University/ College of basic education. The study sample consists of (371) students. To achieve the aims of the study, the researcher used two tools, they are: 1) Shock anxiety scale prepared by the researcher. 2) Motivation for achievement scale constructed by the researcher based on the previous studies. Two types of validity were verified: 1) Face validity by exposing the research to a group of specialized experts. 2) Construct validity in the light of discrimination power, correlation coefficient for each item with the whole degree for the two scales, also measuring the correlation of each item with the dimension that is related to in the shock anxiety scale. The reliability of the scales was calculated by different ways. The items of shock anxiety scale were (15) item where he items of motivation for achievement scale were (18) item. The researcher applied the two scales on the sample of the study then collects and manipulates data by using another test then using Person correlation coefficient and t-test formula to reach the final results. The results show that: 1) the members of the research sample have the motivation to accomplish. 2) There were statistically significant differences between the average performance of males and the average female’s performance on the scale of motivation for achievement in favor of females. 3) The members of the research sample have The Anxiety from Shock. 4) There was a statistically significant negative correlation (0.05) between motivation for achievement and trauma anxiety.
