This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of proposed strategy based on images reading to develop writing expression skills for the primary third graders. The problem of the study can be stated in the following main question: what is the effectiveness of proposed strategy based on images reading to develop written expression skills for primary third graders? The research sub-questions are: 1) What is the proposed strategy that based on images reading to develop writing expression skills for the primary third graders? 2) What writing expression skills that should be available for the primary third graders? 3) What reading images' levels required for improving writing expression skills for the primary third graders? 4) Are there statically significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) in the main score between the experimental group and the control group in the after exam for writing expression skills for the primary third graders? 5) What is the extent of the effectiveness of proposed strategy based on impact of images reading to develop writing expression skills for the primary third graders? To answer the questions of the study, the researcher used the experimental approach. The study tools were: a list of the most important writing expression skills, semantic images test consisted of (6) questions to measure the impact of the strategy of images reading to develop writing expression skills. After refereeing the tools, the test was applied on two classes sample study of (74) students from the primary third grade from Beach primary (f) school. The sample study was divided into two groups: (36) students at the experimental group, (36) students at the control group. To make sure of the validity and reliability of the test, the researcher applied the writing comprehension test on a pilot study of (40) female students at the first semester of (2014-2015), then applied the pre-test on the two (experimental – control) groups, however, the experimental group was guided to image reading skills on the level of (recognition, description and interpretation) besides applying suitable worksheets. The test used the instructional images in different curriculum materials and the experiment continued for (30) days until the after-test was implemented and checked, then after statically analyzing data, the following findings were reached: There were significant statically-indicating differences at (α≤ 0.05) level between the average of the experimental group that studied by strategy of image reading skill and the average of the control group at after test, who studied by the traditional way in writing expression skill. The differences were in favor of the experimental group. 2. The results show that strategy of image reading skill ha a significant impact on the development of writing expression skill among the students of third grade. The effect size of the strategy of image reading skill was (3.42). In the light of these findings, the study recommended the following: 1) Assigning more space among school textbooks for practicing writing expression skill. 2) Paying more attention for choosing appropriate topic, size and color for the educational images. 3) Preparing a training program for teachers of primary levels to encourage using reading image skills that develop writing expression skills.
