This study aimed to investigate the effect of using the PDEODE (Predict – Discuss - Explain – Observe – Discuss - Explain) strategy in the development geometric concepts and visual thinking skills in Mathematics subject for the eighth grade female students in Gaza. To achieve study aims, the study sought to answer the following questions; Main question: What is the effect of using PDEODE strategy in the development geometric concepts and visual thinking skills in Mathematics subject for the eighth grade students in Gaza? Secondary questions: 1) What are the geometric concepts needed to be developed in the 8th grade students? 2) What are the visual thinking skills needed to be developed? 3) What is the general framework for PDEODE strategy? 4) What is the effect of using PDEODE in the development geometric concepts in the 8th grade students? 5) What is the effect of using PDEODE in the development visual thinking skills in the 8th grade students? The researcher adopted the quasi-experimental approach with two groups' pre-post design (experimental and control). The researcher designed the following study instruments and tools, geometric concepts test consisting of (32) items, visual thinking skills test consisting of (30) items, and a prepared teacher’s handbook according to PDEODE. After checking study tools validity and reliability, they were applied on the sample, (55) female students at Rabaa Al Adawiya COED School, witch one of the classes was randomly assigned as experimental group (27) student, while others such as the control group (28) student. To reach her results, the researcher used many statistical methods such as; Holisti formula, the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, Kuder–Richardson Formula, Spearman-Brown formula and T-test. Study results: 1) There are statistical significant differences at (α ≤0.05) between the average scores of the control and the experimental groups in the post test of geometric concepts in favor of the experimental group. 2) There are statistical significant differences at (α ≤0.05) between the average scores of the control and the experimental groups in the post test of visual thinking skills in favor of the experimental group. Study recommendations: 1) Use PDEODE strategy in teaching different subjects in general education institutions. 2) Hold training courses for mathematics teachers to training them on using PDEODE. 3) Consider developing math and visual thinking skills for all students in all grades.
