The institutions of higher education one of the essential measurements of nation renaissance , which the ministry of higher education made one of its aims preparing college teachers; the studies references that there is in the teachers of Kurdish language , and the paper of higher education in Iraq (1989) emphasized prevalence in competencies of some of the teachers , so derived the need of identifying instructional competencies , which is more important in Iraq because of the economic and security circumstances which was the reason of migration minds and the universities depended on beginning teachers poor in experiences and vocational prepare , the teacher is the most important element in educational process. The significance of this study which arises from that the instructional competencies an essential element of scientific planning process and we have no researches about the subject (civilization of Kurd) So the research aims investigating the instructional competencies for teaching (civilization of Kurd ) , the researchers collected all of the teachers which were (38) teacher, a questionnaire was used to collect data , it contained (46) competence obtained from a pilot study used the open face questionnaire , it was exposed to experts and by using (chi- square) retention (42) competence in (6)realms :- (preparing and planning lesson , applying lesson, humanity relationships and discipline the class , elements and skills of language , scientific competence and vocational grow, evaluation) Reliability computed by using (test – re test) method the rats was (0.80), and the final Appling of the questionnaire was from (15/5-15/6/2007) and by using (fisher formula) the results achieved that there is (13) competence the sample found it important , so the researchers discussed them , then they recommended using the instructional competencies in programs of preparing teacher , and suggested evaluating the teachers of (civilization of Kurd).(Published abstract)
