The problem of current study represented in the study of verbal abuse within the family environment and the role of children’s literatures to mitigate such abuse, also the study aimed to examine the level of such abuse and its relation with some independent variables including: age, gender, occupational status of parent and educational qualification of parent. The current study has applied descriptive approach which conducted practically through social survey for random sample of students of primary school at A’Seeb -Muscat governorate- Sultanate of Oman, limitation and field of study: Human field, represented by a group of students of primary school at Muscat governorate. Such study has been conducted at Muscat on April 2016. The researcher has adopted quantitative and qualitative approach in the line with the aims of the study, according to the scientific approach which represented in descriptive approach, type and nature of field data. The researcher relied on the extract of simple and complex tables, measures of central tendency particularly arithmetic averages, measures of dispersion such as standard deviation as well as conducting some significant analysis to conclude overall results or total for measurement such as relative strength the study has many significant results which verified the verbal abuse against child is occurred within the family environment. Also the study has examined some cultural novels which has been written for the children, it has been cleared that such writes has significant role in increasing or decreasing such abuse act. In the conclusion, the researcher has stated the recommendations in respect of raising the awareness among the family members and inviting writers who are writing children’s literatures to support their writings with the tolerance spirit.
