This study seeks to spotlight the obstacles faced by the Algerian investigators and therefore their abstain from building local and contextual measures instead of standardizing and adapting universal measures. Besides, trying to find potential solutions for this problem. The actual study found out that the main obstacles are: lack of the academic and practical knowledge in the field of measurement, lack of time, absence of the scientific data, nonavailability of the sample of study, the inability to control statistics and non-availability of the complete tool. In this study, some recommendations were made for further researches. This entails the construction of research laboratories and data bank devoted for psychological measures; outlining a national program for adaptation prevents the dispersion and replication of efforts, designing measures within a research team, a good training for researchers through classes and training courses in statistics and how to build psychological tests.
