ترصد الدراسة واقع التعليم المصري، والأزمة المستحكمة فيه، ثم تحدد العوامل الكامنة وراء ذلك: يبدأ الباحث بتحديد المشكلة، ويبين أن التعليم بمفاهيمه ونماذجه ومضامينه عجز عن تحقيق أهدافه ومراميه الكيفية مع تسارع نموه الكمي. ثم يوضح العوامل الكامنة وراء المأزق التعليمي في سياسة تعليمية غائبة وتخطيط مضطرب: 1) تنمية تربوية مشوهة. 2) تهافت محتوى التعليم. 3) تعظيم التمايزات. 4) تفاقم الفجوة بين الخطابين الرسمي والواقعي (الممارس). 5) تنمية البطالة. ثم تقدم الدراسة حلولا وتوجهات مستقبلية، منها: 1) صياغة أهداف تعليمية واضحة ومستدامة. 2) تفعيل نظم إدارة التعليم. 3) إعادة هيكلة الموارد المالية المتاحة للتعليم. 4) تبني صيغ جديدة لتعليم مستمر. 5) التوسع في إتاحة فرص متنوعة لفئات متزايدة. 6) إعداد معلم جديد لأدوار جديدة. 7) تصميم مناهج تفاعلية لتنمية قدرات تنافسية. 8) تطوير أساليب إدارة كليات التربية وأقسامها. 9) رسم سياسة إستراتيجية للتدريب وتطوير هياكله وبرامجه. The study examined the reality of Egyptian Education and the crisis in it. The study identifies the underlying factors and began by identifying the problem, it pointed out that education in terms of its concepts, models and contents failed to achieve its objectives and qualitative goals with accelerated quantitative growth. It the explained the underlying factors behind the educational predicament in: 1) A loose educational policy and a troubled planning. 2) Distorted educational development. 3) Triviality of the content of education. 4) Maximize differentiation. 5) The gap between the official and the real discourse has increased (the practitioner). 6) Development of unemployment. The study them presents solutions and future directions such as: 1) Formulate clear and sustainable educational objectives. 2) Restructuring financial resources available for education. 3) Adopting new forms of continuous education. 4) Expanding the availability of diverse opportunities for increasing categories. 5) Designing interactive approaches to develop competitive capabilities. 6) Developing methods of administration of faculties of education and its departments. 7) Drawing up a strategic policy for training and developing its structures and programs.
