هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن فاعلية طريقة العلاج بالقراءة في رفع مستوى سلوك المواطنة لدى طلبة جامعة اليرموك. تكونت عينة الدراسة من 32 طالبا وطالبة، وزعوا عشوائيا على مجموعتين: التجريبية خضعت لبرنامج العلاج بالقراءة، في حين لم تخضع المجموعة الضابطة لأية معالجة. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات الأداء على مقياس سلوك المواطنة ككل تعزى للمعالجة ولصالح أفراد المجموعة التجريبية، كذلك وجدت فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى سلوك المواطنة تعزى للجنس ولصالح الإناث، ووجود فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى سلوك المواطنة تعزى للتفاعل بين المجموعة والجنس، كذلك وجدت فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات الأداء على جميع أبعاد مقياس سلوك المواطنة لصالح المجموعة التجريبية. إضافة إلى ذلك، أشارت النتائج إلى عدم وجود فروق ذوات دلالة بين متوسطات الأداء على جميع أبعاد مقياس سلوك المواطنة تعزى للجنس باستثناء البعد التنظيمي، وكانت الفروق لصالح الإناث، ووجدت فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية على جميع أبعاد مقياس سلوك المواطنة تعزى للتفاعل بين المجموعة والجنس باستثناء البعد الاجتماعي. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of bibliotherapy in raising the level of citizenship behavior among Yarmouk University Students. The study sample consisted of 32 male and female students, assigned randomly into two groups: experimental group that underwent to bibliotherapy program and control group which weren’t subjected to any treatment. The result of the study revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the performance means on the scale of citizenship behavior as a whole in favor of experimental group. In addition, statistically significant differences were found in the level of citizenship behavior that can be attributed to gender in favor of females, furthermore, statistically significant differences attributed to the interaction between group and gender. Statistically significant differences among perfor¬mance means were found on all dimensions of citizenship behavior in favor of the experimental group. In addition, the results indicated that there were no significant differences among performance means on all dimensions of citizenship behavior scale attributed to gender except the organizational dimension and these differences were in favor of females. Significant differences were also found on all dimensions of citizenship behavior scale due to the interaction between the group and gender with the exception of the social dimension.
