The aim of this study is to explore the role of the English language club on enhancing speaking skills among Sudanese certificate holders in the British council communication club. The study used the descriptive qualitative method. The sample of this research is a convenient sample that consists of six students and two teachers the total size was 12 determined to eight when the researcher reached the saturation point) in collecting the data and the researcher used the interview tool. The findings of this study show that the students who joined the English club are exposed to different types of activities in relation to speaking skills and they made positive improvements in their speaking skills. It is proved that the teacher motivates and encourages students to speak freely. Thus, students speak fluently and more confidently and accurately. The findings also reveal the role of the English club in helping students improving their speaking competency; enriching their grammar and vocabulary; improving their pronunciation; fluency and comprehension as well as helping them to increase their confidence to speak the English language. The researcher recommended implementation of the English club at schools and universities, speaking materials should be offered by schools and further studies should be conducted to investigate the role of English club in improving students’ standard of English.
