تعد المواطنة الصالحة أسمى الأهداف العليا للمجتمعات الإنسانية على اختلاف مدارسها الفكرية ومنابعها الفلسفية، لما تعكسه تلك المواطنة من آثار إيجابية على جميع أهداف المجتمعات، وقد أشارت العديد من الدراسات إلى وجود مشكلات تعوق دون أداء الجامعات المصرية لدورها في تربية المواطنة لدى طلبتها. وسعت هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل الأدب التربوي، والدراسات السابقة للتعرف على مفهوم تربية المواطنة وأبعادها، والمفاهيم المرتبطة به، والاتجاهات العالمية المعاصرة في تربية المواطنة في التعليم الجامعي. وسعت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة دور كلية التربية بجامعة الإسكندرية في تربية المواطنة من وجهة نظر عينة من 160 عضو هيئة تدريس من العاملين بها. أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات عينة الدراسة في استجاباتهم لدور الكلية في تربية المواطنة تعزى إلى اختلاف الرتبة الأكاديمية أو النوع وذلك لجميع المحاور وللدرجة الكلية؛ وعدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات عينة الدراسة في استجاباتهم لدور الجامعة في تربية المواطنة تعزى إلى اختلاف التخصص؛ ووجود فروق دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى دلالة 0.05 لصالح التخصصات الإنسانية والاجتماعية. The good citizenship is the highest aims of the human societies whatever their intellectual schools or their philosophical roots according to the impact of this citizenship of positive effects on all societies' aims. Many studies pointed out many problems that prevent the Egyptian universities of performing their roles in citizenship education of their students. This study attempted to analyze the Educational literature and studies to identify the concept of citizenship education, its dimensions and the related concepts. The present study investigated the views of faculty members in the role of the faculty of Education, Alexandria University in citizenship education. The results revealed weak or moderate means of the responses of the faculty members toward the role of the faculty in citizenship education. The results shown that there were not statistical significant differences at 0.05 level in the means of the sample’s responses toward the faculty’s role in citizenship education according to the difference of sex or academic degree while there were statistical significant differences between the means of the responses of the faculty members at 0.05 level due to the difference of the scientific major for the human and social science.
