Work stresses are one of the important factors causing fatigue and over nervousness in individuals. Over work and repeated stresses negatively affects peoples' careers leading to a rarity of psychological and physical diseases. Such stresses also affects the administrative behavior of individuals working in academic institutions especially heads and directors of scientific departments the sample of this study. The study attempts to show how work stresses influence these people’s performance and decision taking which has negative reflection on their department. The researcher has adopted a 42 item scale to measure their stresses band applied it to a sample of 50 persons. Among the major findings of the study is that: one- the sample individuals all stiffer work stresses. 2- There is a statistically. Significant relationship between work stresses and administrative behavior of heads and directors of departments at Al-Qadisiya University. (Published Abstract)
