هدف البحث إلى تتبع برنامج تفعيل المختبرات المدرسية الذي نفذ في المملكة العربية السعودية، باستخدام المنهج الوصفي، إذ بُنيت أداة الاستفتاء لمعلمي العلوم، وبعد التأكد من صدقها وثباتها، تم تطبيقها على عينة البحث التي تكونت من 289 معلما في المدارس الثانوية الحكومية والأهلية بمدينة الرياض، وأشارت النتائج إلى أن التهيئة للبرنامج التي قدمت للمعلمين غير كافية، فقد اقتصر الاهتمام بعدد الدورات، وقلّت التهيئة لاستخدام الأدلة والمطبوعات؛ أما بالنسبة للمواد التعليمية فبيّنت النتائج أن بطاقات الملاحظة، وأدوات تقويم التجارب، لم يتم توزيعها بالشكل الكافي، وأشارت النتائج أيضا إلى أن مستوى الدعم المقدم للبرنامج من وجهة نظر المعلمين أتى متوسطا، وفيما يتعلق بأهداف البرنامج فقد سجّل أن هناك ضعفا في تنفيذ الطلاب للأنشطة التي تتطلب العمل المخبري في المختبر، مما انعكس سلبا في اكتساب الطلاب للمهارت العلمية العملية. كما بينت النتائج وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات استجابات أفراد عينة البحث من المعلمين نحو مستوى تنفيذ العمل بالبرنامج، لصالح المدارس الأهلية، في حين أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً في رأي المعلمين نحو مستوى تنفيذ العمل بالبرنامج، يمكن أن تعزى لمتغير التخصص الدراسي (كيمياء، فيزياء، أحياء)، وانتهى البحث إلى عدد من التوصيات والمقترحات لزيادة تفعيل البرنامج. The research aims to track the activation of the school laboratories program, which was carried out in Saudi Arabia, using descriptive approach “applying a questioner” to answer research questions. After making sure of the reliability and validity of the questionnaires, tools have been applied on the study sample of 289 teachers in public and private secondary schools in Riyadh. The findings of the study indicated that the preparation provided for teachers was not enough. The focus was on the number of courses, while preparation for using manuals and publications. As for learning materials, findings show that note cards, and tools to evaluate the experiments are not distributed enough. Research findings show that the support provided to the program from the teachers point of view, came at medium level. Regarding the objectives of the program, findings showed that there is a weakness in students' implementation of student activities that require laboratory work at the laboratory, which led to the weakness in the students acquisition of the scientific practical skills, findings also show statistically significant differences between the averages of the study sample of teachers individuals responses towards the level of implementation of the work program for the benefit of private schools, while findings showed no statistically significant differences in teachers' opinion about the level of implementation of the program due to the variable area of study (chemistry, physics, biology). The study concluded with a number of recommendations and proposals to increase the activation of the program. (Published abstract)
