تهدف الدراسة إلى معرفة واقع توظيف تدريسيي قسم الجغرافية لمهارات التفكير في التدريس من وجهة نظر الطلبة. لتحقيق هدف الدراسة استعملت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي (الدراسة المسحية)، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع طلبة قسم الجغرافية - الدراسة الصباحية للعام الدراسي 2013- 2014، والبالغ عددهم 384 طالباً وطالبة من طلبة قسم الجغرافية جامعة كربلاء، أمّا عينتها الأساسية فتكونت من 229 طالباً وطالبة. ولأجل معرفة واقع استعمال التدريسيين لمهارات التفكير في التدريس أعدت الباحثة أداة (استبانة) في ضوء الإطلاع على أهداف دراسة الجغرافية في كلية التربية للعلوم الإنسانية/ جامعة كربلاء، وكذلك الدراسات والأبحاث والأدبيات التي درست مهارات التفكير، وتحققت الباحثة من الخصائص السيكومترية للأداة فاستخرجت لها الصدق الظاهري وصدق البناء وتم حساب الثبات باستخدام معادلة (جثمان) ومعادلة (ألفا كرونباخ)، وتكونت الأداة بصورتها النهائية من 89 فقرة. استخدمت الباحثة مجموعة من الوسائل الإحصائية المناسبة لأهداف الدراسة، وعولجت جميع العمليات الإحصائية باستخدام البرنامج الإحصائي (Spss). توصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج، أهمها: 1) إن واقع توظيف استعمال التدريسيين لمهارات التفكير في تدريس الجغرافية كان بدرجة مقبولة تربوياً على مستوى: مهارة المقارنة، ومهارة التلخيص، ومهارة الملاحظة، ومهارة التصنيف، ومهارة إدراك العلاقات الزمانية- المكانية ومهارة التحليل، وذلك وفقاً للأوزان المئوية لكل منها. 2) إن واقع توظيف استعمال التدريسيين لمهارات التفكير في تدريس الجغرافية كان بدرجة متدنية على مستوى: مهارات التفكير الناقد والتفكير الإبداعي، وذلك وفقاً للأوزان المئوية لكل منها. وفي ضوء النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة أوصت الباحثة بعدد من التوصيات، أهمها: 1) اعتماد مهارات التفكير التي حددت في الدراسة الحالية والإفادة منها في تقويم تدريسيي قسم الجغرافية في الكلية. 2) تزويد تدريسيي الجغرافية في كلية التربية بقائمة مهارات التفكير التي حددت في هذه الدراسة بقصد الإفادة منها في تقويم أدائهم ذاتياً. 3) العمل على فتح دورات مستمرة لتدريب تدريسيي الجغرافية في أثناء الخدمة والإفادة من قائمة مهارات التفكير التي توصلت إليها الدراسة الحالية عند إعداد البرامج التدريبية (دورات تدريبية). واقترحت الباحثة عدد من المقترحات، منها: 1) القيام بدراسة تجريبية عن أثر استعمال طريقة من طرائق التدريس الحديثة التي تنمي مهارات التفكير على التحصيل الدراسي في أي من المواد الجغرافية. 2) إجراء دراسة عن العلاقة بين مستوى أداء تدريسيي قسم الجغرافية لمهارات التفكير ومستوى تحصيل طلبتهم لها. The current research aims at investigating the reality of employing thinking skills by the teaching staff in the department of Geography from the students point of view. To achieve the aim, the researcher used the descriptive method (survey), the research community consists of 384 study at The Department of geography, morning students for the academic year (2013-2014). In order to reveal how the teaching staff use the thinking skills in teaching, the researcher prepared a questionnaire in line with the teaching objectives study geography College of Education for the Human Sciences, University of Kerbala, in addition to the research studies and literature on thinking skills, psychometric properties of the researcher of the scale, extracted his honesty and sincerity of virtual construction and the discriminatory power of the vertebrae and extracted a stable retail half using the Pearson correlation coefficient as well as reliability was calculated using the equation and equation concludes Alpha kronbakh Scale, and the final form of 89. The researcher used a set of appropriate statistical methods suitable for the aim of the study. All statistical operations were carried out by using (Spss) statistical program. The study has come out with the following results: 1) The reality of using thinking skills by the teachers in teaching geography was educationally at an acceptable degree: as to some patent educationally accepted in ferms of the skill of comparison, and skill summarization skill, and skill of observation, and the skill of understanding the spatial and temporal relations, of the skill analysis and according to the percentage weights of each. 2) The fact that teaching staff use of thinking skills in teaching geography is of low degree for: critical and creative thinking in accordance with the percentage of each of them. In the light of the findings of the research the researcher recommended a number of recommendations including: 1) Adopting geographical thinking skills shown in the present study and making use of them in the evaluation of the teachers of the Geography Department. 2) Providing the teachers of the geography in the college of Education with the list of geographical thinking skills found in this study to be used in evaluating their performance. 3) Work on open ongoing courses to train teachers in service (and making use of the list of skills provided by this study in preparing trashing courses). The researcher suggested a number of proposals, including: 1) Conducting an experimental study concerning the influence of using modern teaching methods that develop thinking skills on academic performance in Geography in a specific academic stage. 2) Conducting a study about the relationship between the teachers’ performance in terms of thinking skill and the level of their students understanding of those skills.
