يهدف البحث الحالي إلى: التعرف على أهمية التجديد والتطوير في المدرسة الثانوية ودواعيه، إيضاح نماذج من صيغ التطوير والتجديد التي تناولت المدرسة الثانوية، تحديد مفهوم مدرسة المستقبل وبيان سماتها وركائزها وبيان التطوير المقترح للمدرسة الثانوية في ضوء ملامح مدرسة المستقبل. منهج البحث: المنهج الوصفي (الوثائقي). فصول البحث: إشتمل البحث على خمسة فصول وهي: الفصل الأول: الإطار العام للدراسة. الفصل الثاني: واقع المدرسة الثانوية وتضمن: المدرسة الثانوية في المملكة نشأتها، أنماطها، أهدافها، خصائص طلابها ومشكلات التعليم الثانوي. الفصل الثالث: تطوير المدرسة الثانوية وتضمن: أهمية التطوير ودواعيه، أهداف ومجالات التطوير ومعوقاته وصيغ التطوير في المدرسة الثانوية. الفصل الرابع: مدرسة المستقبل وتضمن: إستشراف مستقبل التعليم الثانوي، مدرسة المستقبل مفهومها وأهدافها وركائزها. الفصل الخامس: تطبيق ركائز مدرسة المستقبل. خاتمة البحث وتشمل: النتائج، التوصيات والمقترحات. أهم النتائج: 1) إن مخرجات الطلاب التعليمية والمنهج واستراتيجيات التدريس ودور المعلم وتوظيف التقنية من أهم القضايا التي تؤثر على جودة التعليم الثانوي وقد يؤدي ضعفها إلى مشكلات تعليمية. 2) إن تطوير المدرسة الثانوية حتى يؤتي ثماره لا بد أن يكون شاملا لجوانب العملية التعليمية بدءا بالنظام التعليمي ووصولًا إلى قياس المنتج النهائي وتقويمه مرورًا بالمعلم والمنهج والمتعلم والبيئة المدرسية والقيادة وإلا أصبح التطوير قاصرًا ومحدود الأثر. 3) تهدف مدرسة المستقبل إلى تحسين مخرجات التعليم وتجويد العمليات التعليمية وإعداد المتعلم لمواجهة المستقبل ومن أهم ركائزها القيادة التربوية، المتعلم، المنهج، المعلم، البيئة المدرسية، القياس والتقويم، النشاط الطلابي والإرشاد المدرسي. أهم التوصيات: 1) إن إيجاد الحلول لمشكلة النظام التعليمي يحتاج إلى بحث علمي شامل لتشخيص الواقع ووضع الحلول الملائمة له والاستفادة من التجارب العالمية دون الاعتماد عليها كليا. 2) إن استشراف مستقبل التعليم الثانوي لا بد أن يركز على التربية المستقبلية ويهتم بالبحث العلمي ويواكب عصر العلم وأن يسعى لإعداد المتعلم لمتغيرات الحياة. 3) أن يعاد النظر في أدوار المدرسة والإدارة والمتعلم والمنهج والمعلم بما يتناسب مع طبيعة العصر الحالي وتحديات المستقبل. The research aims to: 1) identify the importance of innovation and development in high school and its motives, 2) illustrating examples of the formulas of development and renewal, which dealt with high school, 3) defining the concept of school of the future and stating its characteristics and pillars and stating the proposed development of the secondary school in the light of the features of school of the future. Research Methodology: descriptive approach (documentary). Chapters of the Search: The search contains five chapters which are: Chapter I: research plan. Chapter II: The reality of high school which included: high school in Saudi Arabia; its inception, patterns, objectives, characteristics of students and the problems of secondary education. Chapter III: Development of high school and included: the importance of development and its motives, objectives and areas for development and constraints and formulas for development in high school. Chapter IV: School of the Future and included: anticipating the future of secondary education, the concept of the School of the Future and its objectives and its pillars. Chapter V: applying of the pillars of the future school to Andalus private secondary school, Jeddah. Conclusion of research and include: the results, recommendations and proposals. The most important outcomes: 1) students educational outcomes, curriculum, teaching strategies, the role of the teacher and recruitment of technology are the most important issues that affect the quality of secondary education. The weakness of these issues may result in educational problems. 2) Secondary school development has to comprehensively cover the educational process stone corners. These are the educational system, the final educational production measurement, the teacher, the curriculum, the learner, scholastic environment and leadership. Addressing these issues will guarantee that development will give fruits. Otherwise, it will be of a limited impact. 3) School in the future aims at developing educational outputs, improving the educational processes and preparing teachers to face the future. Its basic corners are the educational leadership, the learner, the curriculum, school environment, measurement and evaluation, students’ activity and scholastic counseling. The most important recommendations: 1) Finding solution to the problems of the educational systems necessitates a comprehensive scientific research to diagnose the real situation, and thus formulating appropriate solutions to its problems, along with making use of international experiments without entirely depending upon them. 2) In order to anticipate the future of high school education we have to focus on upbringing, care about scientific research, be in congruity with the era of science and prepare learners to face the challenges of life. 3) The roles of the school, administration, learning, curriculum and teacher have to be recondered in a way that assimilates the nature of our contemporary world and the challenges of the future.
