هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى بحث النزاعات الأسرية وعلاقتها بالهوية النفسية لدى عينة من المراهقين. تكونت العينة من 348 مراهقا ومراهقة من مختلف صفوف الأول ثانوي والثاني ثانوي، حيث تمّ استخدام مقياس للنزاعات الأسرية بمجالية (المشكلات الأسرية والمشكلات الشخصية النفسية)؛ وكانت معاملات الارتباط متوسطة تراوحت بين 0.50، 0.93. واستخدم تحليل الانحدار المتعدد المتدرج للكشف عن قدرة كل من النزاعات الأسرية في التنبؤ بالهوية النفسية لدى كل من الجنسين بصورة عامة والذكور والإناث كلا على حدة، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن متغيرات النزاعات الأسرية تنبأت بالهوية النفسية (تحقيق الهوية، ومعلق القرار، ومنغلق الهوية، ومضطرب الهوية) لدى كل من الجنسين بصورة عامة ولدى الذكور والإناث كل على حدة، وبالمثل تنبأت بالمشكلات الشخصية النفسية والمشكلات الأسرية. كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أيضا أن هناك فروقا دالة إحصائيا في مجالات النزاعات الأسرية، وأن قوة هذه العلاقة اختلفت باختلاف الجنس. This study investigated the relationship of family disputes with psychological identity among a sample of 348 adolescents chosen from various first and second secondary classes, using a measure of family disputes domain (family problems, personal and psychological problems). The correlation coefficients were moderate and ranged between .50 and .83. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.87, 0.90 for the two domains, respectively. The multiple regression analysis of family disputes was used in the prediction of psychological identity for both males and females together and for each gender. To determine the differences between the males and females on each of the measures of family disputes and identity, t-tests were used. The results showed that the family disputes predicted the psychological identity (identity achievement, moratorium, identity foreclosure, and identity diffusion) for both males and females together and for each gender. The results also showed that 67% of the respondents were classified in one personality status. The dominant identity among adolescents was the achieving identity. The results indicated that there were significant differences across gender in the dimensions of family disputes; the personal problems and psychological identity. (Published abstract)
