هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن أثر ترتيب الفقرات في المقاييس النفسية على خصائص المقياس وخصائص فقراته، فقد استخدم في هذه الدراسة مقياس للثقة بالنفس، تم إعادة ترتيب فقراته بأربع طرق، الثلاث الأولى هي: ترتيب الفقرات تنازلياً حسب مؤشِّر كلّ من (تمييز الفقرة، ثبات الفقرة، صدق الفقرة) إضافة إلى الترتيب الرابع، وهو ترتيب الفقرات عشوائياً. استخدم الباحث تصميم القياسات المتكررة في عرض المقياس على عينة من المفحوصين بلغت 264 طالباً وطالبة، تم تقسيمها إلى أربع مجموعات، كلّ منها من 66 مفحوصاً، تلقي كلّ مفحوص الأنماط الأربعة للمقياس، ولكن بترتيب مختلف من مجموعة لأخرى. نتائج الدراسة أشارت إلى تفوق أسلوب ترتيب الفقرات اعتمادا على مؤشِّر ثباتها، حيث أعطى هذا الترتيب أعلى معامل ثبات للمقياس بالإضافة إلى أن هذا الترتيب قد تقدم على الطرق الأخرى في تحسين متوسطات الخصائص السيكومترية للفقرات نفسها. This study aimed to explore the Item sequence effects on internal homogeneity and its items characteristics in psychological scales .A self-trust scale was used in this study, re-ordering its items in 4 methods .The first three are: ordering the items descending depending on (item discriminated index ,item reliability index, item validity index) in addition to the random method. Repeated measure design was used to apply the scale on a sample of 264 examinees who were divided into 4 groups, each of which included 66 examinees, and each examinee responded to 4 patterns of the scale in different order from one group to another. The Study results indicated that ordering items in terms of their reliability index is the best method. It maximizes the reliability coefficient of the scale and improves its item characteristics indices. (Published abstract)
