This study aimed to identify the level psychological stress faced by public schoolteachers in Hebron, to explore the relation between the psychological stress and achievement motivation, as well as to identify the differences in degrees of stress, according to some independent variables such as (age group, educational stage, gender, qualifications, directorate, and specialization). A correlational approach of research was applied, and a random sample of (199) schoolteachers responded to the Perceived Stress Scale (Cohen et al), as well as Quari’s Achievement Motivation Scale. The results showed that there is a negative relationship between psychological stress and achievement motivation, and there are differences in the degree of psychological stress due to gender in favor of the females, differences in psychological stress due to the age in favor for the older teachers, differences due to the school stage due to the teachers of the lower basic stage, and differences due to the directorate due to Yatta directorate. The study revealed no differences in psychological stress due to both qualification and specialization. The study came up with a set of recommendations stemming from its findings.
