The study aimed to find out the influence of the media role of the satellite channel Safa to counter the Shiite ideology from the perspective of the students and professors of Umm Al-Qura University. The sample of the study was 75 students and 25 faculty member randomly selected from the study society, which included all female students and faculty members at Umm Al Qura University. The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach, which describes the phenomenon under study using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The most important results of the study showed that there is a great role for Safa channel in the fight against Shiism in all areas covered by the study tool (The content of programs, programs’ direction, and the impact of programs). In addition, the study found a statistically significant effect of Safa channel in preparation of cultural content for programs, so that the content of the media deliver the truth about the Shiites doctrines, which contributes in the media awareness of the dangers of those doctrines. The study recommended to support Safa channel by all means and possibilities to continue its pioneering role, and recommended the need to raise awareness about the dangers of Shiism.
