The present study aimed to detect the impact of in-service training in developing some skills for female staff in Princess Nora Bent Abdul - Rahman University , and the obstacles that prevent it, and by using the descriptive and analytical approach to describe the phenomenon under study, and the application of the in-service training impact in developing some skills questionnaire which was consisted of (40) paragraphs distributed on four areas, and set up by the researcher on a sample consisted of (226) employees who were selected randomly among the various departments of the university, according to the variables of educational qualification and professional experience. The results showed the following: 1) A significant effect of in-service training in the development of the skills of both: creativity and dialogue, the skill of brainstorming and the skills of mental map. 2) There are a set of obstacles that hinder the in-service training, including: lack of effective and efficient programs that contribute to achieve the planned objectives, and the lack of appropriate material, moral incentives and other obstacles. 3) The presence of statistically significant differences for each of the variables of educational qualificationand Professional expérience in Favour of the highest level. 4) The presence of statistically significant differences in the interaction between the variables of educational qualification and professional experience. Finally, on the basis of these results the researcher recommended a range of recommendations, including: the need to develop suitable training programs for employees based on their abilities and training needs, and to provide the necessary material and moral incentives for trainees.
