This research aimed to adapt the Maslash Burnout Inventory intended to the human services (MBIHSS) to the faculty members in Algeria. To achieve that; the original version of (MBI-HSS) has been first translated into Arabic, then applied on a cluster sample of 423 professors. The statistical analysis of data showed the following results regarding its psychometric characteristics: - Factorial analysis using the principal components method and Varimax rotation revealed 3 factors similar to the original version (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment). Internal consistency revealed a significant and high Cronbach's alpha (0.90), and split half using Guttman equation showed a significant and high coefficient, whether between the two parts of the scale (0.90), or between the later and the whole scale (0.81, 0.81). - New norms have been set for each dimension (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment) using Quartiles.
