The paper aimed at identifying the proportion of secondary school students who are suffering from math anxiety and its effects on the students’ academic achievement and the reasons for this anxiety to secondary school students in Yanbu city, in order to reach the most important recommendations proposed to disposal of this phenomenon. Use the search descriptive method, the researcher built a questionnaire about the objectives of the study that has been applied to 422 students at the secondary level consisting for 11% of the study population they were selected randomly from three secondary school sectors in the city of Yanbu sea city of Yanbu during the second semester of the school year 1436/ 1437h. The study found the following to: 1) the math subject is among the highest level of anxiety with 69% from the sample respondent also this anxiety was reflected on some of subjects the same like physics and computer. 2) There are many reasons that could cause math anxiety largely from the viewpoint of the students themselves and that the most important: difficulty book for mathematics, as well as the weakness of their ability to understand the subject. In light of the results presented by the students and a sample of suggestion. Find providing a number of recommendations have stamped to reduce the phenomenon of math anxiety among secondary school students. (Published Abstract)
