This study aimed to develop a charter of ethics for the academic behavior in the Saudi governmental universities from the point of view of the male faculty members in the following Saudi governmental universities with the rank of professor, associate professor, and assistant professor. Based on that, the study comes to many results, including: the faculty members at the Saudi governmental universities completely agree on the importance of charter of ethics for the academic behavior and they agree on their commitment to this moral academic behavior. According to these results of the study, the researchers submitted number of recommendations , such as ethical awareness on the importance of the charter of ethics for the academic behavior through awareness campaigns , publications , seminars , and workshops, and to establish an electronic content of the charter of ethics on the university website and providing all faculty members with the charter of ethics and to commit them to its content beside the assessment of their performance (positively or negatively) in light of their commitment to the ethics for the academic behavior. Also, the study urged to make a link between the activities regarding the assessment of ethical behavior of the faculty member with his lectures number, researches, office hours and promotion.
