هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تقصي نوعية التحصيل في مادة الرياضيات لدى طلبة المرحلة الابتدائية وفق مشروع تطوير مناهج الرياضيات في المملكة العربية السعودية بحسب مجالات المحتوى الرياضي (الأعداد والعمليات عليها، الهندسة، الجبر، القياس، تحليل البيانات الاحتمالات) والمجالات المعرفية (معرفة، تطبيق، استدلال)، كما استقصت توزيع تحصيل الطلبة في الرياضيات وفق مجالات المحتوى الرياضي والمجالات المعرفية ومدى اختلاف التحصيل باختلاف النوع الاجتماعي (طالب وطالبة). بلغ عدد أفراد الدراسة 1729 طالبا وطالبة. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، تم بناء اختبار تحصيلي مكون من 40 فقرة من نوع الاختيار من متعدد، إذ تم التحقق من معاملات الصدق والثبات. وكشفت نتائج الدراسة أن المستوى العام للتحصيل في الرياضيات لدى طلبة المرحلة الابتدائية في المملكة العربية السعودية جاء في المستوى الماهر جزئيا، وبينت أيضا أن تحصيل الطلبة في مجال الجبر كان الأعلى، في حين كان الأداء في مجال تحليل البيانات والاحتمالات هو الأقل. كما أظهرت النتائج أن تحصيل الطلبة كان الأعلى في مجال المعرفة، وكشفت أيضا عن وجود فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية (α≤0.05) في التحصيل بين الذكور والإناث لصالح الذكور. This study aimed to investigate the quality of mathematics achievement of the primary stage students in accordance with the development of math and nature science project curricula in Saudi Arabia in mathematical content areas (Numbers and Operations, Geometry, Algebra, Measurement, Data Analysis and Probability) and knowledge fields (knowledge, application, and reasoning) and revealed the distribution of students tested in mathematical content areas and knowledge fields in addition to differences of achievement between male and female. To achieve the objectives of the study, an achievement test consisting of 40 items was applied after his psychometric properties. The sample of the study consisted of 1729 students. Results of the study revealed that the overall level of mathematics at the primary stage students in Saudi Arabia came in the partially skilled level also showed that student achievement in the field of Algebra was the highest, while the performance in the field of Data Analysis and Probability was the least. The results also showed that student achievement was the highest in the field of knowledge, and also revealed a statistically significant difference a< 0.05 in achievement between males and females in favor of male students.
