The current research aimed to identify the effect of using the method of discussion in the collection of fifth-grade students in the scientific literature material and texts, and through verification of the null hypothesis of the following: No statistically significant difference between the average collection of students of the experimental group and the control group average collection . The sample consisted of 56 students from the fifth grade science were selected in a deliberate from junior high pollen Alndad for boys in the city of Baquba / Diyala province for the academic year 2013-2014 and were randomly divided into two groups one of them a trial involving 28 students Derso way discussion, while the control group consisted of 28 students Derso the usual way. The researcher reward in the two groups of variables: (academic achievement in the previous year for the Arabic language, and the chronological age of the students, and the educational attainment of the parents of the students of the two sets of search). Then he started to experience in the application of 01.10.2013 and continued to experiment 25/12/2013. The researcher taught both groups. For the purpose of achieving the goal of research promising researcher achievement test are from (24), paragraph objective and essay measure the levels of the following: (knowledge, comprehension and analysis) of Bloom's Taxonomy of the domain knowledge, and after the termination of the experiment dish researcher testing (31/12/2013 AD). After collecting the data and correct under the key patch test grades and statistically analyzed using test for two independent samples showed results as follows : No statistically significant difference in the average collection of experimental group students and average students to collect the control group and the experimental group . At the end of the experiment the researcher came out a set of conclusions and recommendations and proposals that emphasized the effectiveness of the method of improving the level of discussion in student achievement in the subject of literature and texts as suggested by studies similar to the variables of another subsidiary in stages other study.
