The problem of Weakness of motivation achievement, it leads to Academic failure Because of several reasons against the students And hinder them from continuance in the Progress of study, The most serious Begins from the family itself because it regarded basic in society and from its the student begins to Simulates reality and upon himself the task of educational As well as Community, school and university curricula and teacher and the system used in exams , All this and the other responsible for the problem . This research aims to identify to: 1) Identify the habits of study at university students (males – females). 2) Measuring academic achievement among university students. 3) Identify the academic reluctance among the students of the university (male-female). 4) To identify the relationship between the habits of study and motivation towards the achievement and reluctance among university students. This search is determined by the students of the university in the College of Basic Education - University of Diyala, Preliminary study of the day. Specialization for scientific and humanitarian and both types (males - females) and all grades for the academic year (2013-2014), The results showed that the research sample possess the habits of study and use them when dealing with their subjects. As well as the research sample of females follow the habits of study more than males, where the results showed that there are statistically significant differences in academic achievement between the research sample according to the gender variable, The research sample also has a lively conscience is low, the reluctance to be high for the students has a lively conscience is low, Compared with their relatives who have high vitality conscience. Who dropped the degree of reluctance? And There are no differences between males and females in the degree of reluctance . That there is a negative correlation between the function of study habits and motivation toward achievement and reluctance, which shows the greater use of study habits decreased reluctance.
