متغيرات العنوان This study aimed at identifying the social problems in national and civic education Textbooks of the upper basic stage in Jordan through analyzing its content from the teacher's point of view. Sample of the study consisted of (81) females and males teachers who are teaching the national and civic education textbooks of the upper basic stage, and all national and civic educational textbooks for the tenth grade. To achieve the objectives of this study the researcher developed two sets of instruments: the first instrument was administrated to estimate the teachers point views of the adherence the social problems in national and civic education Textbooks, which consisted of (72) items distributed into four domains (socially, environmental, family and educational). The second instrument was the national and civic education textbooks analyzing tool to measure social problems representation in national and civic education Textbooks. The result of this study revealed that there was a moderate representation of social problems in the national civic education textbooks from teachers point views, there were not significant differences of representation the four social problems domains according to teacher's qualifications, but there were significant differences of four social problems domains representation according to teacher's experience in favor to the teachers expert teachers (more than 11 years’ experience). Moreover the results indicated that there were no significant differences in social problems representation in national and civic textbooks according to interaction between the teacher's qualifications and experience variables from teacher's point view. The study suggested different recommendations related to the results. (Published Abstract)
