This purpose of this study was to identify the impact of an educational Program based on the theory of mind in the development of some thinking skills among children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities .The study consisted of (n = 70) children (n = 46 males), (n = 24 females) their age ranged between (6-9) years with an average age of (7.58) years, and standard deviation of (1.61(.The study designed an educational program based on the Theory of Mind including (61) training activities, for one and a half month, three scales were prepared about thinking as it is perceived from the school environment, home environment, and children scales themselves using graphic scale, the results, as the following :There were statistically significant differences in standards designed of test thinking skills in all of its three levels (school, home and graphic) in favor of the experimental group, except for the graphic skill and the skill of retention there were no differences in the graphic scale as perceived by children themselves. As for the thinking skills scale understood by the school environment and graphic scale understood by the children, there were no differences between males and females in the method of application in favor of males in the experimental group. The results showed no significant differences in the scale of thinking skills, as understood by the home environment, as shown by the absence of such differences in the interaction between gender and the program. The study recommends the need to address thinking skills for people with intellectual & developmental disabilities. (Published Abstract)
