The search aimed at assessing the current status of the gifted programs in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This task has required developing several quantitative and qualitative tools based on international standards. The research sample consisted of 372 gifted students, 110 teachers, and 63 administrators from the institutions under study. In addition, content analysis of the concerned records and documents has been carried out. To answer the research questions, a questionnaire distributed to the gifted students, personal interviews, group discussions, and the records of the documents have been based on the National American Association of Gifted Children )NAGC( in the USA )versions 1998 and 2010( , and also some criteria available in the related literature for assessing the gifted programs. The results of the search revealed the importance and the need to establish a national body to adopt gifted programs in terms of legislative, administrative and technical affairs. To follow up the accountability of the existing programs according to an assessment system, enacting legislations that ensure the rights and duties of the gifted and organizing the care services required for them.
